The contents of Social Studies are the things we are expected to learn from the subject. These include information, ideas, life skills, good behaviour, and positive habits that will help us to live well in our family, school, community, and the country.

1. Facts: These are pieces of true information that can be proved to be correct.
   
   Example: Nigeria has 36 states and 1 FCT.


2. Concepts: These are important ideas or words that represent a group of related facts.
   
   Example: Culture (people’s way of life), Government (leadership and law).


3. Generalizations: These are big truths or principles that we learn after studying many facts and ideas.
   
   Example: Every society needs laws to maintain peace and order.


4. Skills: These are the abilities we develop through Social Studies to solve problems and live successfully.
   
   Example: Decision-making, problem-solving, communication, leadership.


5. Values: These are the good and acceptable qualities that guide human behaviour.
   
   Example: Honesty, hard work, respect, tolerance.


6. Attitudes: These are the ways of thinking and behaving that Social Studies wants us to practice.
   
   Example: Obeying rules, cooperating with others, love for country.

1. Cognitive Domain (Head): This has to do with knowledge. It means the things we learn with our brain, such as facts, concepts, and problem-solving.


2. Affective Domain (Heart): This has to do with feelings, emotions, and values. It helps us to develop good attitudes, respect for others, and love for our country.


3. Psychomotor Domain (Hand): This has to do with practical activities and skills we do with our hands and body, such as drawing maps, role play, and carrying out projects.
