Energy is the ability or capacity of a system or object to do work or produce a change.



SOURCE OF ENERGY


  1. Fossil Fuels: Ancient plants and animals transformed into coal, oil, and natural gas, burned for heat and electricity.




  2. Solar: Energy from the sun captured by solar panels and converted into electricity.




  3. Wind: Power generated by wind turbines as they spin and produce electricity.




  4. Hydropower: Energy from moving water, like rivers or dams, used to turn turbines and generate electricity.




  5. Geothermal: Heat from the Earth's core used for heating buildings or generating electricity.




  6. Biomass: Organic materials such as wood, crops, and waste burned for heat or converted into biofuels.




  7. Nuclear Power: Energy released from splitting atoms (nuclear fission) to generate heat and produce electricity.


FORMS OF ENERGY


  1. Mechanical Energy: Energy possessed by an object due to its motion or position. Examples include a moving car or a stretched spring.




  2. Heat (Thermal) Energy: Energy that comes from the temperature of matter. It can warm things up or change them from solid to liquid to gas.




  3. Light (Radiant) Energy: Energy that can be seen as visible light or felt as heat. It comes from the sun, light bulbs, and flames.




  4. Sound Energy: Energy produced by vibrating objects and transmitted through a medium (such as air, water, or solids). It allows us to hear things.




  5. Electrical Energy: Energy carried by electric currents in wires. It powers our homes, electronics, and many devices.




  6. Chemical Energy: Energy stored in the bonds of atoms and molecules. It's released when bonds are broken, such as in food digestion or burning fuels.




  7. Nuclear Energy: Energy stored in the nucleus of an atom. It's released during nuclear reactions like fission (splitting atoms) or fusion (combining atoms).
