What is electrical energy ?

Electrical energy is the energy that comes from the movement of electric charges. It is used to power many things we use every day, like lights, phones, and appliances.

  3. Voltage: The driving force that pushes electrons through a conductor, creating an electric field.

  4. Electric Current: The flow of electrons through a conductor; conventionally described as moving from positive to negative (opposite to electron flow).




PROCESS OF FLOW OF ELECTRON


  1. Power Source: Provides voltage (e.g., battery, generator).

  2. Circuit: A closed loop formed by conductors connecting the power source to a load.

  3. Switches/Devices: Control electron flow and use electrical energy.

  4. Electron Movement: Electrons move from the negative to the positive terminal, through the load, doing work.
