ELEMENT OF DESIGN
What are Elements of Design?

Elements of design are the basic tools or building blocks used by artists to create a work of art. They are like the ingredients in cooking – without them, a good design cannot be made.

major elements of design
  1. Line: A line is a mark that moves from one point to another, and it can be straight, curved, zigzag, thick, or thin.

  2. Shape: A shape is a flat area made when lines close up, like a circle, square, triangle, or leaf.

  3. Form: A form is a shape that has depth and thickness, like a ball, box, bottle, or any 3D object.

  4. Colour: Colour is what we see when light hits an object, and it helps make things beautiful, bright, or calm.

  5. Texture: Texture is how something feels (like rough or smooth) or looks like it feels in a drawing.

  6. Value: Value is how light or dark a colour is, and it helps to show shading, light, and shadow.

  7. Space: Space is the area around, between, or inside objects, and it helps show arrangement and distance.

Application of Elements of Design
What Does Application Mean?

Application means how something is used or put into action.

So, application of elements of design means how we use line, shape, colour, texture, form, value, and space in real life or in creative works.
